Director & Producer Khoa D. Le"It's not about what you know or what you can do; it's about doing it and executing it successfully!"

Khoa Dinh Le, born on June 2nd, 1980, in Thailand is a multi-talented Americanized Film Director, Film Producer, Writer, Cinematographer, Photographer, and Businessman. However, do not think he is just a jack-of-all trades and a master of nothing. Khoa puts extreme effort and dedication into everything he wants to learn. Khoa’s achievements are accounted to his determined and enthusiastic personality. Moreover, Khoa has the fortitude to persevere through any difficult situation, as well as any craft that detonates his curiosity. He is the founder of the production and media company “Kvibe Productions, LLC” since 2004. Khoa is best known for his work ethics and ability to quickly adapt to anything that challenges his creativity.

At the age of 19, this eager autodidact wrote his first 30-page business plan and worked with various producers to understand the dynamics of the entertainment industry. He built his own recording studio and learned sound engineering without any former professional education. In 1999, Khoa successfully recorded his first artist, as well as producing records for various independent and major recording Artists from EMI, BMG, Universal, Bad Boy, and Atlantic. Since then, he fell in love with music and promised to never give up until he achieved his goals in entertainment. One of Khoa’s most applauded work was a theme song he produced for an animated movie titled, “Barbie: In A Fashion Fairytale” performed by an established artist named, “Tiffany Giardina”. The song received an accumulation of over a million views on the youtube channel.

Khoa graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in Music in 2003. In 2008, he continued pursuing his Masters at “Julliard,” one of the most respected and well-known schools for the arts in Music and Theatre. Furthermore, Khoa not only demonstrated academic excellence, he is also musically gifted. He has been playing the piano since the age of 7, and picked up on advancing his piano techniques as a pleasurable pastime. In addition, he also participated in Jazz bands, choirs, and classical ensembles throughout his college career.

Unfortunately, music disappointed him with its negative economical factors and instability. According to Khoa, “it was anything but a stable career.” However, his ambitions & determination did not allow him to quit. Khoa redirected himself to another area of entertainment that would allow him to utilize as much, if not, more of his creativity as music. Auspiciously, through perseverance and autodidactic activities he discovered that telling stories and making hit films would be an exciting journey to embark on. As the result, a new passion in filmmaking awaits him. However, Khoa’s love for music motivated him to strive for success in the music industry and considered filmmaking as only an interest.

Regrettably, in June of 2009, after experiencing yet another dissatisfaction with the music production, Khoa decided to hang up the record producing profession and faithfully engaged himself to the filmmaking business. During that time, he devoted countless hours studying technical details about photography in hope of establishing a strong understanding of cinematography; primarily, the art of storytelling through visual images. However, the decision was not an impetuous one, instead it was through exhausting research and studies that eventually solidify his choice. Moreover, the gapping opportunity allowed him to express his creativity along with other traits, such as: leadership, precocious problem solving, technical, and teamwork, just to name a few. Furthermore, it’s indubitably unarguable that the successes of filmmakers, their outstanding work, and their stories of struggles had greatly influenced his decision-making. In addition, the thousands of hours studying the art of filmmaking, as well as people, whom he found truly inspiring that he became ascertain of this move.

Three months later, Khoa produced, wrote, and directed his first film called, “Denial”. The Film won an award for “Best Suspense Short” at the “New York International Film Festival”. In addition, it received global Internet and mobile distribution through “Goliath Productions”. Furthermore, Khoa’s ability to direct, and create a winning short film without previous filmmaking experience earn much admiration from many people. In an interview asking Khoa , Khoa humbly stated “I never involved myself in filmmaking, but as a music producer for over 10 years, and working with many different Artists on a consistent basis. I learned how to talk to them, how to encourage their creativity, develop trust, how to establish a long lasting working relationship, and how to share my visual ideas with others.”

Khoa was fortunate that his experience in music manifested into something bigger than just music. He believes, “if you love and have a strong passion for your dreams, you will do what it takes to break down the doors no matter what obstacles are in your way. “

With 10 months of filmmaking experience, Khoa Le became an award-winning Director. Khoa has directed a total of 6 short films, 2 commercials, and 4 music videos in the 12 months period since he’s been in the film industry. It has only been 2 years, but keep an eye on this multi-talented young director as he makes his way into a new phase of his filmmaking career. In addition, Khoa was brought onto a TV Series project with 2x time Grammy award winner Rockwilder, while working on his own Horror Webisode Series titled “Case of Guilt” which can be seen at www.kvibe.com, as well as writing and directing his upcoming Psychological / Horror Feature film titled “Whitlock Asylum”.

The future looks promising for Khoa as he continues to grow into more than just a filmmaker, but a role model in life. He says, “I don’t consider myself successful as I haven’t reached my goals yet. But to others, what I do in life and living my passion is success and a dream come true. I’m humbled and grateful to even have such passion and fire for success. I can only give back once I obtain it!”
